About Me
Hi, I'm Brett Righter. A graduate from the University of Arizona with a degree in Business Administration. While earning my degree, I worked full time with the Springfield Township Public Works Department in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Balancing a full academic schedule with a full time job required discipline and strong time management, but also gave me a unique opportunity to apply what I was learning in the classroom to real work taking place in my community every day.

Working in public works has given me a firsthand understanding of how local government operates and how essential these service are to the quality of life in a community. From infrastructure maintenance and operational planning to supporting the day to day functions that keep a township running, the experience has shown me the value of teamwork, reliability, and practical problem solving. Being part of a department that directly impacts residents has strengthened my appreciation for public service and the responsibility that comes with it.

My academic experience helped reinforce many of the lessons I encountered int the field. Studying business administration exposed me to concepts in leadership, operations, finance, and strategic thinking. These areas have helped shape the way I approach challenges and evaluate opportunities for improvement within organizations. I enjoy looking at systems, processes, and projects and thinking about how they can be organized more effectively to support both employees and the community they serve.

Throughout my time working and studying, I have developed a strong interest in leadership, organizational improvement, and community development. I believe that effective leadership is not only about making decisions, but also about understanding the people, systems, and goals that drive an organization forward. I am particularly motivated by opportunities where thoughtful planning and collaboration can create lasting benefits for a community.
